How to unlock an automatic Tau sliding gate. Unlocking an automatic Tau sliding gate is a simple and basic action. Follow the quick and simple steps below and you will be ready to deal with this situation.

How do you unlock a T-ONE gearmotor?

In order to start the unlocking procedure, the release key of the automation is essential. It can be different from the key switch’s one.
The operator’s cylinder has 4 numbers identifying the matching key to use.

1. Open the black protective cap located on the bottom of the gearmotor.
2. Insert the key and turn it 90°.
3. Open the release lever.
4. Proceed manually with the opening or closing maneuver of the sliding gate.

This procedure releases the gate from the operator and allows to open and close it manually.

This procedure is the same for all T-ONE and MASTER series gearmotors.

When do you unlock a sliding gate?

Usually you unlock a gate when you need to open it in order to keep the entrance clear, because there is no power supplying the automation, for example as a result of a power cut due to a thunderstorm or a technical failure.

In case of frequent black outs we recommend the use of 12V DC operators with a back up battery.

 

Installer tip:

Periodically check the correct functioning of the release to prevent it from jamming in case of need to unlock the sliding gate. In fact a long inactivity and a bad condition of the system can compromise the good functionality of the release mechanism.
Keep the unlock key in an easy-to-find place.
