Why is it necessary to change the code of the digital keyboard?

A user may change the code of his digital keyboard because he wants to enter a password of his own choice, like 0000 for example, as it is easy to remember.
Again, he may want to control the automation and make it safer by restricting the access to unauthorized persons.

 

How do you change the password?

The best procedure to change the password is the following: enter button P followed by the MASTER code that you can find on the user manual’s cover.
After having entered the MASTER code, press the “BELL” symbol and only then you can enter the chosen password.
In order to end the operation, it is compulsory to enter the button “from 1 to 4” according to the required position and then press the “BELL” button

 

Recommendations of the installer

t is possible to control up to 4 different opening operations maximum.
After having entered the fist personalized password on position 1, the following password must be entered on position 2, the third one on position 3 and the last one in position 4.
If you want to create a second code, you must repeat the procedure starting from entering the MASTER CODE that you find on the user manual’s cover.

 

When is it necessary to change the code of the digital keyboard?

The code of the digital keyboard must be changed at the first installation or every time you need to change it.

 

How do you transmit the code to the control board?

Please find below the three different steps to transmit the code to the control board:
1. Press button “CH1” or “P1” of the control board for about two seconds.
2. Enter the new MASTER code followed by the “BELL” button

ATTENTION: it is not appropriate to enter the “position” button during the above mentioned procedure.

3. Wait for the leds of the control board to turn off for a few seconds and then turn on again.

The keyboard is conceived to be used on all TAU’s control boards and receivers.
