Why is it necessary to HARD RESET the control unit of the automatic gate?

This procedure is extremely important, as it gives the installer the chance to restore the factory parameters of the control board. Sometimes such procedure is useful when it is necessary to cancel the parameters previously set by the installer.

The use of the TauApp through its T-wifi card or of the Tauprog handheld programmer is compulsory when the installer wants to change the factory parameters.

Recommendation of the installer:

Remember to hard reset one before every setup procedure. The previously set parameters will therefore be lost.

 

When is it necessary?

The hard reset of the control board is recommended every time the user finds a lasting malfunction.

 

How to HARD RESET the control board of the automatic gate?

This procedure is very easy. You only have to press PROG and CH2 buttons at the same time for about six seconds, until DL7 and DL8 flash in red.

Release the same buttons. The control board and all its functions are ready-to-use again after the restoration of the leds.

Recommendation of the installer:

For a successful hard reset one, the user must press the two buttons at the same time. Otherwise, it will be necessary to wait for leds DL7 and DL8 to turn green to hard reset again.

 

Which control boards can be hard reset?

The hard reset procedure is extremely effective on TAU’s DIAMOND control boards: K206MA for automatic barriers, K126MA for sliding gates and D749MA for swing gates.
